My New Juicer!

I am SO excited you guys!  I got a new (used) juicer.  I have a very generous good friend who heard I was looking for a juicer and decided she would like to give me hers. Ya, I know how sweet huh?  I wont name names because I think she would probably not want to be named on here.  (If I am wrong let me know my sweet friend.)

I started the GAPS diet three and a half weeks ago because of my horrible health issues and I am slowly seeing improvements in my overall health. I will post about GAPS another time though.

Anyway part of the things that I need to do is to start juicing because the fiber in foods right now is what gets to me (along with other things.) When you juice it takes almost all, if not all, of the fiber out and you get the nutrients and vitamins from the fruits and vegetables.  Right now I am not doing fruit juices either (no sugars - not even from fruits), just vegetables.

It is so much fun.

My new juicer arrived today.  It is a Champion 2000+.  I promptly put it together and got the carrots, celery and beet greens out to juice!  I couldn't wait.

The Champion was so easy to set up and in no time at all I was already juicing.

Another really great point to this juicer is that all the leftover pulp will go directly into my garden or compost heap.  Is that "green" or what!  Heheheheh!

Here is the final product: Organic Carrot, Celery, Beet Juice on the rocks!

I only drank part of the juice I made and the rest I left under the juicer and juiced an organic apple to add to it for the kids.  They loved it! I think this is going to be a daily treat for us - organic fruit and veggie juices.

The juicer was SO easy to clean up too.  A couple of parts you clean under warm water and all is said and done.  I love it SO much.

Oh, also this juicer is so cool because it makes ice cream (the healthy kind), nut butters, and will grind grain.

Thank you again my sweet and generous friend. You have contributed to this family's health in a great way.

~Blessings~
