I'll call today Pumpkin Day

Today was full of pumpkin!

I made these Pumpkin Waffles with my homemade maple, brown sugar whip cream for brunch today.  It tasted like fall and was a great way to start the day.

Corbin kept asking, "are the waffles ready yet?"  He was so hungry and it smelled so good.  It was worth the half hour wait though.  He ate two whole waffles.  I won't tell you how many I had. heeheehhee!

Then tonight we did our yearly tradition of carving pumpkins.  Our tradition is that we carve and don't let anyone see our pumpkins faces until we are all done.  Then we have a big reveal.  Corbin is very adamant about keeping to the rule of not looking prematurely. Here are some pictures of the event

My Dad got the power tools out!  Corbin loved this.  Corbin carved his own pumpkin all by himself this year.  We bought those mini pumpkin saws and he did well.  He only needed a bit of help scraping out the goop in the beginning.

Here are the masterpieces
Corbin's is the second one in from the left.  He told us it is an angel holding a bible and the dots around it are stars.  I love it.

Here we are standing behind our artwork.  My moms is so cute, it has its tongue sticking out.  My Dad's forgot to brush its teeth, it has a bunch of cavities.  Steve's is cool, it looks like a cat and he loves cats.

What fun family memories.  I am thankful for this night and filled up with Joy right now.  Thank you Lord.
